(83) Hazrat Sahl bin Sa’ad (radi Allahu anhu) reported, “I used to have my sehri meals with my family and then hurry up for presenting myself for the (Fajr) prayer with Holy Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam).” (Bukhari)

(84) Hazrat Ibn Umar (radi Allahu anhu) reported that the Holy Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said, “Three types of people on the day of Qiyaamat will be seated on hills made from musk: 1. that servant who fulfilled the duties towards his master and his duties to Allah; 2. That person who was the Imam of a nation and they were pleased with him; 3. that person who called in a day and night the Azaans for the five Namaaz.” (Mishkaat)
(85) Hazrat Uqba bin Aamir (radi Allahu anhu) reports that the Holy Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said, “Your Allah is very pleased with that shepherd who stands at the top of a mountain and calls out the Azaan and then performs his Namaaz. Almighty Allah says (to the Angels). ‘Look at that servant of mine. He establishes Namaaz and fears me. Verily, I have forgiven him’”.

(86) Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (radi Allahu anhu) reports that the Holy Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said, “The greatness of the sound of the Muazzin can be heard by the jins, humans and Angels and all those who hear this will testify on his behalf on the last day.” (Mishkaat)

(88) Hazrat Umm-e-Habeeba (radi Allahu anha) reported that the Holy Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said, “That person who reads 12 rakaats in a day and night will have a house built for him in Jannat;  Four rakaats before Zuhr Namaaz and two Rakaats after Zuhr and two rakaats after Maghrib and two rakaats after Esha and two rakaats before Fajr.” (Mishkaat)

Note: This refers to the 12 rakaats of Sunnat-e-Mua’kadah in one day’s Namaaz.

(89) Hazrat Abdullah ibn Salaam reports, “When Nabi (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) arrived in Madinah, I came to him and when I saw his blessed face, looking at him carefully, I recongised that this was not the face of a false person. Then the first words which he (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said there were, ‘O People! Make the conveying of salaams common amongst you and feed the people and be kind towards your relatives and at night when all are asleep, then read your Namaaz. If you do this, then you will enter Jannat comfortably.” (Tirmizi – Ibn Majah)

Note: Here, the Namaaz being referred to is Tahajjud.

(90) It is on the authority of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Holy Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said to Hazrat Bilal (radi Allahu anhu) at the time of Fajr Salaah, “O Bilal! Tell me, what is that Islamic deed that you have done which makes you feel hopeful, as I have heard the sound of your shoes in front of me in Jannat?” Hazrat Bilal (radi Allahu anhu) replied: “My most hopeful deed is that either during the day or night, whenever I make wudhu and with that wudhu I read whichever Namaaz is in my faith.” (Bukhari)

(91) Hazrat Jaabir bin Samura (radi Allahu anhu) reports that there was a young person who used to be present in the court of Rasoolullah (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) and would always lend a hand in serving the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam). Once, the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said to him, “Ask me for something which you need fulfilled?” He said, “Pray to Allah for me that I may get Jannat.” On hearing this, the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) raised his head, and then took one deep breath and said, “I will, but only on this condition, that you make Sajdah in abundance.” (Kanzul Umaal)

(95) The Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) said, "One who climbs over the necks (shoulders) of people on Friday (in the Musjid), has built a bridge to hell for himself."(Tirmizi)

Note: This Hadith shows that we should not walk over peoples necks when in the Musjid on Fridays so that we can get to the front. At the same time it must be noted that when going to Musjid, we should sit in the front, so that those who come after do not have to climb over us.

Fasting is a shield or protection from the fire and from committing sins. If one of you is fasting, he should avoid sexual relation with his wife and quarreling, and if somebody should fight or quarrel with him, he should say, 'I am fasting.' By Him in Whose Control my soul is' the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk.
